Smart door locks have always attracted much attention. Although its price is much higher than that of traditional mechanical door locks, smart door locks can solve the problem of forgetting to bring keys/lost keys, and accurately grasp everyone's needs.
So compared with traditional mechanical locks, what problems should we pay attention to when choosing smart door locks? Today we will learn more about it.
1. The choice of semi-automatic and fully automatic smart door locks
The styles of smart door locks are mainly divided into two types: semi-automatic and fully automatic. Judging from the appearance, the smart door locks with traditional door handles are generally semi-automatic styles; while the smart door locks with push-pull handles are generally fully automatic styles.
1. Semi-automatic Smart Lock
After the semi-automatic smart lock is unlocked by fingerprints (or other unlocking methods), because it cannot complete the door opening action completely autonomously, it needs to lift or press the "door handle" to complete the door opening. Therefore, the semi-automatic smart lock mainly solves the pain point problem of "forgetting the key to go out". As for other aspects, it is not much different from the traditional mechanical lock, and the price is also more acceptable to the public lock.
2. Fully automatic smart lock
After the automatic smart lock is unlocked by fingerprint (or other unlocking methods), the deadbolt will be automatically retracted, we only need to push or pull gently to open the door, and when closing the door, as long as the door is closed, the deadbolt will also automatically Pop up to unlock! Compared with semi-automatic smart locks, fully automatic fingerprint locks will be more convenient to use, but the price will be relatively higher, and the power consumption will be higher, so the frequency of charging smart locks will be higher.
2. Questions that you have to know about fingerprint unlocking
At present, there are mainly two fingerprint unlocking technologies in the smart lock market: semiconductor biometric fingerprints and optical fingerprints.
1. Optical fingerprint
It uses the ridge and bone of the fingerprint to reflect the different light to image, (the work fingerprint is basically the principle of optical fingerprints), and as long as the fingerprint lines are clear and aligned, it can be recognized without the need for vitality fingerprints, easy to be detected. It is conceivable that the security of copying fingerprint unlocking is relatively poor.
2. Semiconductor biometric fingerprints
Semiconductor biometric fingerprints can identify living fingerprints, with high fingerprint recognition accuracy, not easy to be unlocked by copied fingerprints, and high security.
3. True ferrule and false ferrule
The lock cylinder of the smart lock has two types: true mortise and false mortise, which correspond to the mechanical key unlocking method.
In addition to the difference in appearance, the biggest difference between the two is that: "true mortise" has a mechanical key hole on the appearance panel of the lock body; while "false mortise" has no mechanical key hole on the appearance panel of the lock body, generally At the bottom of the lock, it is easier to give the impression that "the fake mortise has no keyhole", does it seem to be more advanced?
In addition, whether it is a real mortise or a fake mortise, it is not the final factor that determines the safety of the door lock! If you see this useful as a marketing gimmick, the water content is a bit too much, it is recommended to choose carefully!
