Dongguan Kaisijin Injection Molding Factory is sharing with everyone today the precautions to be taken when using release agents for plastic molds.
A. Plastic Mold release agents can be divided into: internally added release agents and externally applied release agents.
1. The internal release agent is a substance that combines with the forming material. During the vulcanization molding process, it migrates to the surface of the product, playing a role in isolating the Mold;
2. Spray the surface of the mold with an external coating remover to avoid product bonding with the mold.
B. The issues that plastic mold processing plants should pay attention to when using release agents are: 1. The amount of plastic mold detachment should not be too high, and the coating should not be too thick;
2. Choose a suitable plastic mold release agent based on the type of formed polymer, which has a good effect;
3. The water used for preparing plastic mold release agents should be pure water (ion exchange water or distilled water), and tap water should not be used;
4.When using plastic mold release agents, it is necessary to distinguish between external coating, internal addition, one-time, multiple, and semi permanent release agents, and choose different application processes;
5. Before spraying the release agent, the plastic mold should be cleaned thoroughly and free of impurities such as rust, oil stains, particles, organic matter, etc., otherwise it will reduce the mold release effect.
