What is the difference between magnetic locks and electric locks?
2023-06-01
The magnetic lock has a structure without any mechanical locking tongue, completely using its powerful "suction" to suck on the door leaf, achieving the purpose of locking. When it is necessary to implement "access control" in frequently accessed passages, electromagnetic locks are the most durable, sturdy, and safe electric locks! Electric plug lock is an electronic controlled lock that drives the extension or retraction of the "locking tongue" through the on-off of current to achieve the function of locking or opening the door. Usually, an electric plug lock consists of two main parts: the lock body and the lock hole. The key component in the lock body is the "lock tongue", which, in conjunction with the "lock hole", can achieve two states of "closing the door" and "opening the door". Insert the locking tongue into the lock hole to close the door, and leave the lock hole to open the door. It is precisely because of the retractable function of the locking tongue that it is given the name "electric plug lock". It is precisely because of this characteristic that electric plug locks are often used on various side hung doors (two-way opening). Meanwhile, its "hidden" installation feature is more suitable for places with high requirements for lock body confidentiality. The working principle of a magnetic lock is the same as that of an electromagnet, which utilizes the principle of generating electricity and then attracting different poles. When the current passes through the silicon steel sheet, the Electromagnetic Lock will generate a strong suction force to tightly absorb the adsorption iron plate and achieve the effect of locking the door. As long as a small amount of current is applied to the electromagnetic lock, it will generate tremendous magnetic force. The access control system that controls the power supply of the electromagnetic lock will power off after identifying the correct personnel, and the electromagnetic lock will lose its suction force to open the door. Because electromagnetic locks do not have complex mechanical structures or lock tongue structures, they are suitable for controlling the passage of escape doors or fire doors. It is internally protected with epoxy resin to protect the lock body. At present, the suction strength of the electromagnetic lock is expressed in pounds, and the testing method is static pressurization. The so-called static pressurization refers to the gradual increase in the pulling force on the adsorption iron plate after the electromagnetic lock is energized. When the suction force exceeds the electromagnetic lock, the adsorption iron plate is instantly pulled open, and the data of this pulling force is the pulling force value of the electromagnetic lock. And the force between the electromagnetic lock and the adsorption iron plate must be face-to-face and linearly pressurized, so that the suction of the electromagnetic lock is the maximum. The adsorption iron plate may be briefly magnetized due to long-term magnetic induction by the electromagnet.
But relatively speaking, the protocol will be more complex. They usually have access to the front door during building intercom. Magnetic or Electric Lock transmission signal. RS323 communication converter is used in intelligent devices, and its characteristic is short transmission distance. Nowadays, the application of intelligent devices in residential areas is relatively common. So its application is also the most extensive.
