The structure of the injection Mold is determined by the form of the injection machine and the complexity of the parts. Regardless of its complexity, all injection molds can be divided into two parts: moving mold and fixed mold. The fixed mold is installed on the fixed template of the injection machine, while the moving mold is installed on the mobile template of the injection machine. During injection, the moving and fixed mold are closed to form the cavity and gating system. During mold opening, the moving and fixed mold are separated and the plastic parts are taken out.
(1) Formed parts Formed parts are the parts that make up the cavity in the designated and moving parts. It is usually composed of punch (or core), die, insert, etc.
(2) The gating system of the gating system is the channel through which molten plastic enters the mold cavity from the nozzle of the Injection Molding machine. It is composed of the main channel, the diversion channel, the gate and the cold material cavity.
(3) The guiding mechanism of the guiding mechanism is divided into the guiding mechanism between the moving die and the fixed die and the guiding mechanism of the ejection mechanism. The former is to ensure the accurate alignment of the moving mold and the fixed mold when closing the mold, so as to ensure the accuracy of the shape and size of the plastic parts.
(4) Demoulding mechanism is a device used to release plastic parts from the mold during mold opening, also known as ejection mechanism. There are many structural forms, such as ejector rod demoulding mechanism, push plate demoulding mechanism and push tube demoulding mechanism.
(5) In order to meet the mold temperature requirements of the injection molding process, the heating and cooling system must control the mold temperature, so the mold is often equipped with a cooling system and heating elements are installed inside or around the mold. The cooling system is generally equipped with a cooling channel on the mold.
(6) Other parts and components, such as those used to fix and support formed parts and components or for positioning and limiting.
